Surprise, surprise, surprise! Iran, while testing more ballistic missiles in violation of United Nations sanctions, Iranian leaders have said they could walk away from the landmark nuclear deal negotiated by the Obama administration and other world powers. In a further twist of sickening irony, the international agency responsible for monitoring the Iranian agreement says it is prohibited by the deal to say publicly if Iran is violating the agreement.

The more that is disclosed about this agreement, the more the world should realize that Iran has no intention of stopping its nuclear program and the deal negotiated was so one-sided in Iran’s favor that the Islamic Republic will be able to achieve its nuclear goals free of international pressure and consequences. Iran, through the negotiation process, achieved its agenda of getting sanctions removed and money flowing into its coffers, while maintaining the ability to develop a nuclear weapon capability and the ballistic missiles to deliver them, eventually to American territory.

“If our interests are not met under the nuclear deal, there will be no reason for us to continue,” Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s deputy foreign minister, warned during remarks delivered to a group of Iranian officials in Tehran. “If other parties decide, they could easily violate the deal,” Mr. Araqchi was quoted as saying by Iran’s state-controlled media. “However, they know this will come with costs,” reported Fox News.

The real question is, are the sanctions going to ’snap back’ as President Obama promised the American people now that Iran is once again threatening the world? I think the answer to this question is obvious to any thinking person.
