This is how you out pedophiles, predators, molesters and pornographers.

A devious gadabout, Deonte Carraway, 22, has been arrested by Prince George’s County Police and charged with 10 counts of felony child pornography, sexual abuse of a minor and second-degree sexual offense after pornography was found on his phone, according to court documents released on Tuesday.

Girls and boys, ages 9-13, were featured in 40 videos, some involving sexual acts with each other and some performing sexual acts alone, with Mr. Carraway directing the lot as if he were the Seymore Butts of Glenarden. His bond was set at $1 million, and unless he has a wealthy fairy godfather or blind fairy godmother, he’s likely to stay behind bars.

Moreover, additional charges could be forthcoming.

“This investigation is just the beginning,” said Maj. Robert Brewer, head of the county police department’s Criminal Investigations Division. “He’s had contact with a lot of kids in the community, and we’re looking for community members to come forward.”

Mr. Carraway operated in a tight circle in Glenarden: Judge Sylvania Woods Elementary School, the Glenarden Municipal Center, the Theresa Banks Memorial Aquatic Center and private homes.

A lot of adults and responsible eyes fell upon Mr. Carraway as he moved about Glenarden. Yet it was the watchful eyes of a male relative that took down “short eyes.”

The man, who has a young relative who attends the school, saw a nude photo on the child’s phone. He called the police on the night of Feb. 4, and the Carraway arrest was made on Feb. 5.

Thank God for the man’s actions. He did what parents and other caring adults moving about the Carraway circle should have sniffed out.

There are at least 10 victims in this disgusting crime line, and who knows how many more. Mr. Carraway seemingly is a predator who sought youthful prey, like pedophiles and child molesters and abusers are wont to do.

Prince George’s County authorities have some explaining to do: Mr. Carraway exposed himself to government scrutiny at every turn — as a paid employee at Woods elementary and as a volunteer at Woods, where he recorded the kids during the school day; and as a choral instructor and at public pool.

Kik, the messaging app, is getting even more heat after authorities revealed that a 13-year-old Blacksburg, Virginia, girl who was allegedly slain by a Virginia Tech student she had met via Kik. Seems that Mr. Carraway employed Kik, as well.

Even police cannot say what happens next.

“These are complex investigations, and it is hard to tell where it will lead, but that is the work before us now,” said Prince George’s Police Chief Hank Stawinski.

Don’t blame Kik for allowing pedophiles, predators, molesters and pornographers to remain anonymous, however.

Blame pedophiles, predators, molesters and pornographers.

You know why they should be outed — and, here again, thank goodness someone who is part of the Woods Elementary family did.
