COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - A Missouri woman has been arrested on suspicion of forging prescriptions for the stimulant drug Adderall.

The Columbia Daily Tribune (https://bit.ly/2hpdO44 ) reports that the woman was arrested Tuesday after she was seen on surveillance footage passing forged prescriptions and picking them up. The woman was one of two people to whom the prescriptions for Adderall were written. The drug is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy.

Columbia police began investigating last week after a radiologist reported that someone had been forging prescriptions in his name. The radiologist told police he has no reason to prescribe Adderall to anyone and has never prescribed the drug.

Investigators learned that 17 forged prescriptions for Adderall had been used at five pharmacies in the city.
