DRAPER, Utah (AP) - An apartment fire in Draper has claimed the life of a man at the town house-style complex south of Salt Lake City.
Firefighters say they found smoke pouring from the building when they responded to the fire near 100 East and 15000 South shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday.
KSL-TV (https://tinyurl.com/ztvgknu) reports they found a man in his mid- to late-60s dead inside a bedroom.
Some additional apartment units were evacuated but no other injuries have been reported.
Investigators believe the blaze started under some stairs in a storage area, but they’re still trying to determine the official cause.
Draper police are assisting in the investigation.
