FRANKLIN, Vt. (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for a section of northern Vermont along the Missisquoi River after an ice jam started backing up river water.

As of mid-afternoon the river gauge in East Berkshire was 12.4 feet and rising rapidly.

At 13-feet, flooding of low-lying fields and roads will occur from Richford to Enosburg. Water might enter the yards of riverside homes in East Berkshire.



Vermont Route 105 between East Berkshire and Enosburg Falls may also be affected.
