Fort Smith police say the pursuit began in Roland, Oklahoma, after an officer clocked the woman driving 77 mph in a 45 mph speed zone on U.S. 64 late Wednesday. Roland police say the woman didn’t pull over and instead sped up to 100 mph before crossing the state line in to Arkansas and Roland police called off their pursuit.

Fort Smith police say 27-year-old Jessica Schwarz of Muldrow, Oklahoma, then crashed into a wall early Thursday in Fort Smith and was dead at the scene.

Police say her body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and toxicology testing.
