HELENA, Mont. (AP) - The price of gasoline in Montana has edged up slightly at the start of the week leading up to Christmas when many people will be traveling.
Price-tracking website GasBuddy.com says average retail prices for gasoline in Montana rose 0.5 cents per gallon in the past week to $2.17.
Gas prices across the state are 7.7 cents a gallon higher than a year ago and 5.3 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
Nationally, GasBuddy says prices have increased 3.1 percent per gallon to $2.24 over the week.
