FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) — Officials say at least two people were killed when a small plane crashed near the Fredericksburg airport.
Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller said the crash occurred near the Shannon Airport Friday afternoon. She says the crash caused the aircraft to catch fire. She says at least two people are confirmed dead.
Geller did not say how many people were on board the plane.
The Federal Aviation Administration says it’s investigating.
