OPINION:
Last week’s Republican presidential debate raised a few pertinent questions, to wit: Is Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus so naive he believes that left-wing moderators are interested in fair journalism over ideological bias? That kind of naivete borders on incompetence (“RNC chairman blasts CNBC for ’deeply unfortunate’ debate questioning,” Web, Oct. 28).
How in the world could Mr. Priebus agree to such an obviously biased group of moderators who used their own agenda to ridicule, attack and denigrate the Republican Party? Clearly Mr. Priebus doesn’t understand the politics of the left or the bias of the mainstream media.
The Republican Party cannot afford to have Mr. Priebus in any position to make decisions regarding the eventual debates with Hillary Rodham Clinton. Consequently he should resign his position immediately and turn it over to a grown-up who actually understands the realities of modern-day politics.
