The “Right Side Forum,” an hour-long conservative live news and talk show hosted by columnist Armstrong Williams, offers a special one-hour townhall-style broadcast, airing Friday on News Channel 8 at 4 p.m. The topic this week: “Young adults share their true views of America.” The panelists are from diverse backgrounds.

Mr. Williams has a very personal stake in the broadcast and the topic, following the recent tragic shootings at the Emanuel AME Church in South Carolina that rocked the nation and drew President Obama to the funerals that followed.

“I always enjoy hearing from young people, and thought that this was an especially important moment for them to raise their voices,” Armstrong says, citing the recent uprising in Baltimore, challenging economic news, the growing 2016 presidential field and conversations about race following the discovery that a Washington State NAACP leader was really a white woman.

“And then to have this confessed killer, who is younger than some of the guests on the show, attack Mother Emanuel Church, killing my cousin Clementa Pinckney and eight others. I wanted to know what they were thinking about, and what they think of the America they will one day take over - because that’s exactly what they’re doing. They’re taking over,” Armstrong continues.

“We all need to know not only what they’re thinking and doing now, but what they will do moving forward,” he adds.

The show, which debuted in January, normally airs live on Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m. on News Channel 8 in the Washington, D.C., area, and repeats again at 6:30 p.m.
