An Ole Miss fan who apparently partied too hard after his team lost to TCU last week accidentally passed out in an Uber cab and racked up a $908 fare en route to his home address in Mississippi.

Joseph Martin, an Ole Miss alum, was reportedly in Atlanta for the Peach Bowl with his family on New Year’s Eve. After drinking all day, he said he fell asleep in an Uber cab on the way to an after party only 10 miles away and woke up in Alabama. Photos went viral of his $908 cab fare, which Fox Sports confirmed is legitimate.

“I asked the other members of the car what the address of the after party was that we were supposed to be going to,” Mr. Martin told Fox. “They said they had already given it to the driver and he confirmed.”

“Let me go ahead and say that I didn’t come out of the party trashed and put my Mississippi address in the system and get a ride home,” he clarified. “It was one of the other members of the car that talked to the driver.”

“I may have dozed off for a bit,” Mr. Martin continued. “My phone woke me up, and I didn’t realize we had been driving for about an hour and a half. The other three people in the car were also asleep. I woke one of them up and asked where we were going and what address she gave the driver. She told me and the driver the address and when he looked at his phone they didn’t match up … obviously.”

Mr. Martin told Fox that he used up his Christmas bonus on the $908 bill from Uber. He said the company has been very helpful with him, and he would continue to use the cab service in the future.
