Looking toward the 2016 White House race, supporters of former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina announced Tuesday that they were rolling out a Super PAC on her behalf, as they look to strengthen her likely bid for the GOP presidential nomination.

“Carly For America will continue to build conservative support and help lay the groundwork for a potential presidential candidacy,” Steve DeMaura, executive director of the Super PAC, said in a press release. “Her dedication and understanding of how to unlock the potential of Americans across the country is a breath of fresh air for the GOP.”

The Super PAC also rolled out a 2-minute online ad introducing voters to Ms. Fiorina, as part of its broader effort to draw attention to her life story and promote what they see as her “record of leadership and success.”

“I have traveled and lived all over the world, and I know that it is only in the United States of America that a young woman can start as a secretary and become the chief executive officer of the largest technology company in the world,” Mrs. Fiorina says in the spot.

Mrs. Fiorina is scheduled to speak on Thursday at the Conservative Political Action Conference. Last month, she was widely viewed as one of the big winners of the Iowa “Freedom Summit,” where she directed sharp criticism at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the clear favorite to win the Democratic nomination.

The video released Tuesday includes some of the speech in which Mrs. Fiorina warned that “we fear we are losing the essence of who we are, that uniquely American sense of limitless possibility.”

“So let us together rise to meet the challenges that confront us,” she said. “Let us together truly reform our government and our politics. Let us restore the promise of the greatest nation the world has ever known.”
