The Islamic State terrorist group released a new video on Wednesday purportedly showing the beheading of a Russian spy at the hands of a Russian jihadi.

In the 8-minute video, a captive identified as Haroun is shown wearing an orange jumpsuit and “confessing” in Russian to be a spy for the FSB, Russia’s security services, according to the SITE intelligence group, NBC reported.

The video is titled, “You Shall be Disappointed and Humiliated O Russians.”

Another scene shows the captive kneeling on the shores of a lake in front of an unmasked, knife-wielding jihadist.

The militant speaks in Russian before cutting the prisoner’s throat.

If confirmed, the execution would be the first time the terror group has beheaded a Russian citizen.

The gruesome video appears to be the group’s response to the Russian bombing campaign in Syria. Moscow has increased its strikes against the Islamic State after the group claimed it brought down a passenger plane over Egypt on Oct. 31.
