Donald Trump may show up to his campaign events in his own 757 aircraft emblazoned with a personal logo. But Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker may trump Mr. Trump for the flashiest ride over Labor Day. Mr. Walker plans a bodacious motorcycle ride through New Hampshire which covers considerable territory.

“Mark the date on your calendar! Governor Scott Walker will be riding a Harley-Davidson through all 10 counties,” his campaign advises.

The candidate, a veteran Harley rider who favors a 2003 Road King, makes quite an impression on two wheels. He is Harley-enhanced. The iconic motorcycle manufacturer is, after all, headquartered in Wisconsin, and governor and bike maker have a cordial relationship.

Two years ago, Mr. Walker himself donned black leather and aviator glasses and personally escorted a selection of the fabulous bikes to China, roaring into Shanghai before a delighted crowd. The governor made the sale; China now has its first big Harley shop.

The Harley motif works for others as well. It can prove and ultimate grassroots statement. Earlier this year, Mr. Walker joined forces with Sen. Joni Ernst for a Harley ride through the Iowa countryside, followed by a pig roast. Both press and public were charmed. This may be something that even master showman and campaigner Donald Trump can’t duplicate.

In the meantime, Mr. Walker has released a new video message with a close focus on the Iran nuclear accord.

“I refuse to live with a deal that threatens our safety and that of our closest allies. See, unlike others, I don’t need months or years to mull this over. If Congress fails to stop the nuclear deal, I will terminate it on day one,” the governor notes

“American leadership is back, and together with our allies, we will not surrender another inch of ground. America will not be intimidated, and neither will I.”
