SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) — Sen. Barbara Mikulski is scheduled to talk about college affordability.
The Maryland Democrat will be at Montgomery College in Silver Spring on Tuesday to continue her college affordability tour.
She plans to announce that more than $230,000 in federal money has been awarded to provide help to first-generation college students. Federal funding has been awarded through the U.S. Department of Education’s Student Support Services grant program.
Mikulski also is scheduled to tour the Nursing Simulation Lab at the college.
