A Philadelphia woman who allegedly wanted to martyr herself for the Islamic State group was arrested Friday after authorities said she planned to board an international flight and join its ranks.

Keonna Thomas, 30, is charged with trying to assist the Sunni radical terrorist group. She is scheduled to appear in court late Friday, The Associated Press reported.

Prosecutors said she told a member in Syria that die in service of the terrorist group, also known as ISIS or ISIL, would “be amazing,” AP reported.

Her arrest comes just one day after two women were arrested near New York City and charged with trying to build a bomb for the Islamic State group.

In March, authorities arrested and charged a National Guardsman, his cousin and a former Air Force mechanic with assisting the Islamic State group, either by joining its ranks overseas or by conducting an operation on U.S. soil.
