MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Eight people will be inducted into West Virginia University’s Sports Hall of Fame this weekend.
Induction ceremonies are scheduled for Saturday afternoon at the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility before the football game against Oklahoma. The public is invited to attend the free event.
The class features Lester Rowe, a four-year starter under basketball coach Gale Catlett from 1982-85. He helped lead the Mountaineers to three NCAA tournaments and one NIT appearance.
Others to be inducted include pitcher Chris Enochs, football standouts Gene Lathey and Mike Logan, former men’s basketball coach George King, golfer Mike Krak, rifle standout Michael Anti and women’s tennis star Jo Marie (Cinco) Bohn.
