First Iowa, now New Hampshire.
That’s where Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s RickPAC has donated some major money recently, doling out more than $60,000 for Republicans in New Hampshire in the first half of October, the Houston Chronicle reported.
That’s on top of more than $30,000 given to Republicans in Iowa in August in September as the outgoing governor preps for another possible presidential run in 2016.
Mr. Perry visited the Granite State soon after he was indicted in August and was scheduled to return in early October but cancelled as Texas dealt with the Ebola crisis.
Mr. Perry, who delivered a major foreign policy speech in London recently, is scheduled to speak at the Reagan Presidential Library Monday on the 50th anniversary of the former president’s “A Time for Choosing” speech at the close of the 1964 presidential campaign that couldn’t save Republican nominee Barry Goldwater but helped lay the groundwork for Mr. Reagan’s career in politics.
