KEMMERER, Wyo. (AP) - Two Wyoming men have been issued citations after a bull elk was found dead last week in Fossil Butte National Monument in southwestern Wyoming.

The Wyoming Game & Fish Department said the shooting on Nov. 6 occurred in the Middle Canyon area on the east side of the monument. The national monument is off-limits to all hunting.

William Cruise of Kemmerer was cited for investigation of illegal use of a firearm and taking of wildlife in a national park. Cited for investigation of disturbing and harassing wildlife was Jason Moss of Opal.
