BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Louisiana’s First Lady, Supriya Jindal, and Korie Robertson of “Duck Dynasty” celebrated giving new lives to adopted children as they rappelled down a 24-story Baton Rouge building.

Friday’s event was aimed at bringing awareness to the more than 300 foster care children who are available for adoption in Louisiana. Louisiana Family Forum organized the event, which is in its second year.

Robertson and her husband, Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson, have two adopted children. She brought two of their five children, Sadie and John Luke, to participate.

Gov. Bobby Jindal honored the Robertsons earlier this year with the inaugural Governor’s Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence.
