PHOENIX (AP) - A man accused in Texas of homicide and other crimes has been arrested in Arizona.

The U.S. Marshals Service says 27-year-old Daniel Smith was arrested Thursday in Peoria, a Phoenix suburb.

The service says Smith is wanted by police in Odessa, Texas, where he is accused of homicide, assault with a deadly weapon and assault on a family member causing bodily injury.



Smith also had an active warrant accusing of parole violation.

According to the service, some of the charges stemming from the stabbings of two people, including one person who died.

The service says he was taken in custody at a relative’s home in Peoria.
