ALEXANDRIA, Ind. (AP) - A central Indiana sheriff says a safe is missing from the home of a 76-year-old man who was found dead inside.
Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson says a family member found James Gee’s body at his home in a rural area a few miles northeast of Anderson on May 1 after he didn’t show up for work.
Richardson tells The Herald Bulletin (https://bit.ly/1l0YBTY ) detectives believe someone forced their way into the house and that a locked closet was ransacked.
Richardson says detectives are continuing their investigation and asked for anyone with information to call the Sheriff’s Department.
