CORBIN, Ky. (AP) - A scenic area of Kentucky needs a helping hand with sprucing up and is looking for volunteers.

The Kentucky Department of Parks wants helpers May 17 for cleanup at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park in south-central Kentucky near Corbin.

The park asks volunteers to wear boots and bring work gloves for the cleanup.



Registration starts at 9 a.m. at the visitor center near the falls. The event isn’t recommended for children younger than 10.

Participants can take part in a cookout at noon.
