ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque police is graduating a new cadet class.
Chief Gorden Eden announced Thursday the graduation of the 110th Cadet Class.
The graduation ceremony is scheduled Thursday afternoon at the Volcano Vista High School Performing Arts Center. The class is graduating 23 police officers, 21 in Albuquerque police and 2 in the Rio Rancho Police Department.
The cadets’ curriculum included law, interviewing techniques, crisis intervention, defensive tactics, and firearms training.
Albuquerque police are preparing to adopt new U.S. Justice Department reforms following a harsh report over excessive force.
