TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (AP) - Police in Salt Lake County say they have located a toddler who was missing after her caretaker was supposed to turn her over to authorities.

Unified Police say that 15-month-old Sophea Lorrain Larsen had been dropped off at the home of a relative who then contacted police Wednesday.

At a news conference Wednesday afternoon, Salt Lake County Sheriff Jim Winder said investigators are still piecing together where the toddler has been.

Winder says it appears the toddler was in multiple locations during the search.

Officers began a search on Tuesday after a court order was issued to take her away from her guardian and return her to her mother.

The guardian, 39-year-old Jamie Webb, fled on foot when police tried to serve him.

Winder says Webb is still missing.
