HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) - A Washington County sheriff’s police dog found a missing 8-year-old autistic boy in a creek.

Deputy Daniel DiPietro and his K-9, Maverick, were called Sunday evening to look for the boy who was reported missing by his family in the Cedar Hills neighborhood.

The Oregonian reports (https://bit.ly/1muI7r4 ) they searched a wooded area and found him cold and shivering in rain-swollen Ward Creek.



The boy had no serious injuries and was able to return home to his parents.
