Child drowns in apartment complex pool

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - Pascagoula authorities say a 7-year-old boy drowned at an apartment complex swimming pool.

Jackson County Coroner Vicki Broadus tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1kNFkVS ) the victim, James Sims, was swimming with family and friends Sunday night.

Broadus says the boy was pronounced dead at Singing River Hospital.

She say it wasn’t immediately clear if the family lives at the apartment complex or were visiting
