LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say the death of a man whose body was found in a central New Jersey canal does not appear to be suspicious.

But Hunterdon County prosecutors say it’s still not known what caused the death of 32-year-old Kenneth Muzychko of Flemington, whose body was found Friday afternoon in the Lambertville canal. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prosecutors say Muzychko was a Marine Corps veteran who had recently been staying in Lambertville and was well-known in the area. But further details about him were not available Sunday.

It’s not clear how or when his body got in the canal.
