AGE: 67 (Born July 17, 1946).
EDUCATION: BA from Gonzaga University (1968); master’s degree from Columbia School of International Affairs (1970); master’s degree from Kennedy School of Government at Harvard (1979); MBA from University of Montana (1981), master’s degree from US Army War College (1996).
POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: Served as an elected representative in the Montana House of Representatives from 1973-1978. Served as House Democratic Majority Leader 1975-77, and as Speaker of the House of Representatives 1977-78. Served three terms as Montana Public Service Commissioner from 1981-1993.
MILITARY: U.S. Army, six years’ active service. National Guard, about 25 years.
