TAYLORS, S.C. (AP) - Greenville County deputies say a 23-year-old man has been arrested after he locked his girlfriend and her 3-year-old child in their Taylors home for two days, choking her with a belt until she was unconscious and making her clean the living room with a gun pointed at her head.
Investigators say the woman escaped from the mobile home around 9:15 a.m. Friday when Justin Anderson was asleep by climbing through a window with her child. She ran to a neighbor’s home and called 911.
Deputies say Anderson kept the woman and her child in a room that locked from the outside.
Anderson faces several charges, including kidnapping, criminal domestic violence and attempted murder. He was in jail awaiting a bond hearing. It wasn’t known if he had a lawyer.
