LANSING, Mich. (AP) - The Michigan State Police has 82 new troopers.
They graduated Friday during a Lansing ceremony attended by Gov. Rick Snyder. For five months, trooper candidates were trained in firearms, water safety, patrol techniques, criminal law and other specialties.
State police Director Kriste Kibbey Etue told graduates that the public demands “your very best performance every day.”
The troopers will report for duty next week at posts all over Michigan.
