RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The American Red Cross plans to distribute supply kits and preparedness information in four counties after tornadoes struck eastern North Carolina.
Red Cross and community volunteers will distribute the items Saturday in Beaufort, Chowan, Perquimans and Pasquotank counties. Supply kits will include gloves, hand sanitizer, storage containers, sunscreen, bug spray, heavy duty trash bags, tarps, rope, duct tape, first aid kits and children’s items.
In addition, the Red Cross client service center remains open in Washington.
