LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation is conducting an investigation into the Albany County Attorney’s Office.

DCI Deputy Director Kebin Haller confirmed the investigation to the Laramie Boomerang (https://bit.ly/1nTx75W) but decline to release any details about what the inquiry is about.

However, Haller says it’s unlikely the investigation would affect the outcome of past or current prosecutions carried out by the Albany County Attorney’s Office.

He says the investigation began about a month ago.

Albany County Prosecuting Attorney Richard Bohling did not immediately return a request for comment.

A Republican, Bohling was first elected to the office in 2002.

He announced April 19 that he would not seek re-election this November.
