LOGAN, Utah (AP) - A second person has been arrested in connection with a wreck that killed the co-owner of a popular coffee roasting house in Logan.
Cache County prosecutors say 42-year-old Michelle Hoppie was booked Friday on suspicion of second-degree felony automobile homicide in the April 10 crash that killed 68-year-old Randy Wirth.
Alvin Henson was earlier charged with the same crime after a truck he was driving collided with a car in Millville and then struck Wirth who was riding his motorcycle.
The Herald Journal of Logan reports (https://bit.ly/1rQjp1x ) Hoppie is accused of encouraging the 40-year-old Henson to get behind the wheel of her truck to go buy more beer.
County Attorney James Swink says a breath test showed Henson’s blood alcohol level was .13, above the legal limit of .08.
