TOWNSEND, Del. (AP) - New Castle County Police are investigating an armed home invasion that took place in Townsend.
Police say they were called to the 200 block of Aberdeen Way around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a home invasion. When officers arrived they were told that two unknown male suspects had entered the residence, one of them armed with a handgun.
During an altercation, a man in the home was assaulted and items were stolen from the home.
Police did not say if the victim and the suspects knew each other. An investigation is ongoing.
