SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Gov. Gary Herbert has hired U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz’s chief of staff to serve in the same role for the governor.
Herbert’s office announced Tuesday that Justin Harding will start serving as the governor’s chief of staff June 16.
He replaces Derek Miller, who stepped down last month to serve as the new president and CEO of World Trade Center Utah.
Harding has served as chief of staff for Chaffetz for five years.
Besides his work for Chaffetz, Harding has worked for U.S. Reps. James Hansen and Rob Bishop.
