HAMMOND, La. (AP) - Tangipahoa Parish authorities say skeletal remains found near Loranger last week have been identified.

Sheriff Daniel Edwards said Tuesday the remains found on May 21 are those of 46-year-old Dena Fout missing since Aug. 4, 2009.

Edwards says the remains were found by several boys as they were frog hunting in a wooded area east of Loranger.

Edwards says detectives are aggressively working the case to establish a cause and time of death.
