SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia state police say three people died in fatal accidents in the state during the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Spokesman Lt. Michael Baylous says two of those fatalities involved no seat belt use. State police didn’t release details about the deaths.
Baylous says state police made 62 drunken-driving arrests over the weekend and issued nearly 1,900 citations for speeding. Troopers also issued 1,200 citations for seat belt violations.
