NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - Officials have temporarily closed North Platteās library to treat a bedbug infestation.
The North Platte Library closed Friday after a worker discovered the bugs on some pieces of furniture. The worker contacted exterminators, who were scheduled to start the fumigation process Sunday.
Officials tell North Platte television station KNOP-TV (https://bit.ly/1jSWimw ) that the incident was isolated and contained to a number of chairs at the library. North Platte Mayor Dwight Livingston has ordered that the library remain closed until Tuesday.
The library is expected to close again for a second fumigation in two weeks.
