Shumlin to receive distinguished alumni award

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin will receive a distinguished alumni award from his alma mater, Wesleyan University.

Shumlin also is expected to deliver the keynote address at the alumni event on Saturday in Middletown, Connecticut.

Shumlin graduated from Wesleyan in 1979.
