PLYMOUTH NOTCH, Vt. (AP) - A new exhibit to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War is opening at the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site in Plymouth Notch this weekend.

“The Coolidges, Plymouth, and the Civil War,” opens on Saturday.

It looks at the Civil War from the perspective of Vermont families whose relatives served in the Union army.

The exhibit includes letters, photographs and personal items on loan from private and public collections.

The Vermont Division for Historic Preservation also will hold a Civil War-based lecture series at the site this season, with the first lecture planned for June 28.
