OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Authorities in Northern California are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy found inside his home.

Oakland police say the toddler was pronounced dead at a local hospital after he was found unresponsive inside the home in the city’s Laurel District Friday morning.

Officer J. Moore, a police spokesman, said Saturday that police are currently treating the incident as a possible case of sudden infant death syndrome as investigators are looking in the cause of the boy’s death.



The name of the toddler has not been released.

No arrests have been made.
