ST. LOUIS (AP) - Members of St. Louis’ Bosnian community are pitching in to provide help for those in their homeland who are suffering during severe flooding.
KMOX Radio (https://cbsloc.al/1gTVA9T ) reports that the St. Louis Bosnian community has sent a shipping container filled with food, water, clothes and household essentials. Efforts continue to raise $300,000.
Flooding is blamed in more than four dozen deaths and has affected at least 40 percent of Bosnia. The publisher of a Bosnian-American newspaper in St. Louis calls it the worst tragedy in Bosnia since the war.
