ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) - Sweetwater County commissioners are asking Sheriff Rich Haskell to crack down on illegal dumping. They are also planning to offer rewards for those who turn in offenders.

The commissioners are upset over tons of garbage that has been dumped in the county.

According to the Rock Springs Rocket-Miner (https://tinyurl.com/m6kmqfj ), people are willing to risk getting fined $750 per violation, contaminating the local environment with discarded oil, antifreeze, batteries and other hazardous trash.
