EXETER, N.H. (AP) - Those wishing to pay their respects to a New Hampshire police officer killed in the line of duty have the chance to do so.
Following a memorial service Wednesday at Exeter High School for Officer Stephen Arkell of Brentwood, public visitation has been scheduled Thursday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Stockbridge Funeral Home in Exeter.
Arkell was killed last week when he responded to a domestic disturbance call in Brentwood.
Police say 47-year-old Michael Nolan killed Arkell after the officer was invited into the home by Nolan’s 86-year-old father, Walter Nolan. They say Michael Nolan died in the fire that he set in the house.
