D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Police have arrested the former president of the D’Iberville High Band Booster Club on an embezzlement charge alleging he stole about $2,000 from the club last year.

Police Chief Wayne Payne tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1m8gbG9 ) 41-year-old Juan Carlo Cobar, of Gulfport, was arrested Wednesday.

Payne said the arrest came following investigation of a complaint filed Monday.



Cobar was booked at the Harrison County jail and held on a $25,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.

It was unclear whether Cobar has an attorney.
