STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - A central Pennsylvania woman is seeking a new trial in the 2009 murder of her husband, a father of four.

The Centre Daily Times (https://bit.ly/1sOLNSb ) reports that 32-year-old Mirinda Boob cites ineffective counsel as one reason she should receive an evidentiary hearing and a new trial in the August 2009 murder of 29-year-old Samuel Boob.

Authorities said Boob lured the victim into his Potter Township garage, where an accomplice shot him to death. Both Boob and the other man are serving life terms.

Boob’s new attorney maintains that her former attorney should have moved to enforce a plea agreement in the case.

The state Superior Court denied an earlier challenge of Boob’s conviction in October 2012

A hearing on the new petition is scheduled next month in Centre County.
