ARLINGTON, Wash. (AP) - Arlington Police Chief Nelson Beazley abruptly resigned late Monday and the city provided no explanation of his departure.
The Daily Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1ncvzF3 ) the 58-year-old Beazley had been chief since the fall of 2010 and worked to reduce heroin use and homelessness in Arlington.
The police department has about two dozen officers serving a city of 18,000.
The chief’s position pays about $121,000 a year.
