STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Authorities have seized more than $1.5 million in what they’re calling an investigation into illegal gambling in eastern Ohio.

Warrants were served at eight locations in and around Steubenville (STOO’-behn-vihl) in the investigation by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office and the Steubenville Police Department.

Attorney General Mike DeWine and Steubenville Police Chief William McCafferty say the money was seized after the search warrants were served Friday.

They say the investigation is continuing.
