CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - The Nevada Department of Corrections says an inmate serving up to 10 years has died at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.
Officials say 70-year-old Eric Brown died Thursday at the prison infirmary of a chronic medical condition. An autopsy is planned.
Brown is the third Nevada prison inmate to die this week.
He was convicted of child abuse, neglect or endangered in Clark County and sentenced to a term of four-to-10 years.
Brown has been in prison since September 2011.
